Founding Story

Anita's personal experience with breast cancer was the driving force behind the inception of the Women's Well-being Foundation. When Anita was diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age, her doctor advised her to freeze her embryos before starting chemotherapy, as the treatment could significantly impact her fertility. Thankfully, Anita was able to take this important step and is now the proud mother of non-identical twins.

Going through this difficult experience made Anita realize just how many women are struggling with reproductive health and fertility issues but don't have the support or resources they need. While Anita was fortunate to have access to egg freezing, she recognized that many others are not even aware of this option or cannot afford it.

Anita was also shocked to learn how little discussion was being given to these critical women's health topics, not only in her community, but across society. It wasn't just fertility – areas like menopause were also commonly overlooked or misunderstood, despite being something every woman will experience.

Determined to change this, Anita knew she had to take action. She wanted to create a platform where women could feel comfortable opening up about these issues and get the information and assistance they need throughout all stages of their lives – from puberty to fertility to menopause and beyond.

This driving desire to empower women and promote their overall well-being through comprehensive health, education, and support became the driving force behind the establishment of the Women's Well-being Foundation. Anita's personal experiences and the gaps she identified in the healthcare system fueled her passion to make a real difference in the lives of women in her community and beyond.

The Women's Well-being Foundation stands as a testament to Anita's resilience, compassion, and commitment to ensuring that no woman has to face the challenges of women's health alone. By providing a safe, supportive, and informative environment, the foundation aims to transform the landscape of women's healthcare, empowering individuals to take charge of their well-being with confidence and dignity.
